Before you jump to Shiso (Basil) & Lemon Rolled Chicken recipe, you may want to read this short interesting healthy tips about Healthy Eating Doesn’t Have To Be A Chore.

Healthy eating is today a great deal more popular than in the past and rightfully so. The overall economy is affected by the number of men and women who suffer from diseases such as high blood pressure, which is directly related to poor eating habits. No matter where you look, people are encouraging you to live a healthier lifestyle but then again, you are also being encouraged to rely on convenience foods that can affect your health in a damaging way. In all probability, a lot of people think that it takes too much work to eat healthily and that they will need to drastically alter their lifestyle. In reality, though, simply making some small changes can positively impact daily eating habits.

These more nutritious food choices can be applied to other foods such as your cooking oils. Olive oil is a monounsaturated fat which can help to lower bad cholesterol. It is also a good source of Vitamin E which has many benefits and is also good for your skin. It may be that you already think that you eat fruit and vegetables but it can be worthwhile considering how fresh these are depending on where you buy these. If you can opt for organic foods, you can avoid the problem of eating crops that may have been sprayed with deadly pesticides. You will be sure that you’re getting the most nutritional benefits from your fresh produce if you can locate a local supplier because you will be able to get the fruit when it is the freshest and ripest.

Thus, it should be fairly obvious that it’s not hard to add healthy eating to your everyday life.

Shiso (pronounced "she-so") is the Japanese name for an annual herb called Perilla, which belongs to the mint family. Other aliases include beefsteak plant (which makes little sense, if you ask me) or Japanese basil. It is used in quite a few Asian cuisines, but the shiso recipes I've encountered have mostly been for Japanese dishes. We show you how to make a classy herb pot using a galvanised bucket - perfect for summer pickings. A table displaying which months are best to sow, plant and harvest.
